Back ground

New Spring Ministries is a growing, vibrant ministry in Uganda in east-central Africa through the ongoing dedication of founding Pastor James Malinga. The ministry was conceived in 2017 after God impressed James with a vision for a group of 100 people in need of shepherding and discipleship. Pastor James obediently responded to this call and with continued, fervent prayer and humble beginnings, met under a small rented tent which included his wife and four children. A few months later following a house-to-house evangelism outreach into the community, two more converts were baptized and received into the fellowship. This added growth confirmed God’s purpose and birthed New Spring Ministries. With community at the heart of its work, New Spring Ministries have achieved the following work since its foundation:
Provided food supplies to 300 neighbors in need through house-to-house Evangelism.
  • Established a safe space where everyone in the community despite their faith can seek assistance/ advice. Due to this safe space, more than 60 people have converted to Christianity including former sorcerers.
  • Provides opportunities for church members to invite non-Christian friends to bible studies and gospel readings
  • Graduated five disciples who have gone through discipleship processes using the Christian approved curriculums such as the McConnell to lead small groups
  • Over 80 children regularly attend our Sunday worship service including children of all faiths

The appeal

Over the past five years, we’ve seen our congregation grow tremendously from 6 to 120 people. This has increased the demand in the space needed to continue God’s work. Currently the congregation meets on rented land where we are limited to only putting up temporary structures and holding services on fixed days. Furthermore, not only can the property rental fees increase at any time but communication regarding cost changes is given at short notice. We believe this is limiting our ministry’s mission as we are unable to sustainably plan ahead and accommodate our growing congregation. Therefore, we are making a humble appeal to everyone who is in position to donate to help us raise $14,450 to purchase land with church so that we can continue to deliver God’s work.

How will your donation help?

Money raised from this appeal will enable us to purchase land with a church, a permanent base for our Ministry’s gathering. The church will be able to welcome more than 800 people for Sunday worship. The land also comes with a separate building which can accommodate a further 500 people. This will be a multipurpose building used initially for the children’s Sunday school and bible studies. Further down the line, we aim to establish a Christian based pre-primary school (kindergarten), where more 500 children in the community can access vital education during the week. Overall, your support will enable more than 1,300 community members in central Uganda to access on-going discipleship and 500 children to access vital education. This is how you can donate to this cause;
